We know that Earth Day was technically on Wednesday, but doesn't the Earth deserve more than just one day of celebration? I'm glad you agree! This is why we're celebrating all week long and saying "THANK YOU" to our planet, all that she's given us, and all that she continues to give.

And to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Earth Day, we're sharing a list of fun activities that will leave you feeling like you've planted an organic garden after a quick session of yoga with goats. Think sustainable F-U-N.

Student Spotlight:

Lisa Hecht

This Friday, we're giving a shout-out to Lisa Hecht, Philly-based food writer, stylist, and chef-in-training at Walnut Hill College. If you don't know Lisa, you've surely seen her beautiful food photos on our Instagram page and in our newsletter. Lately, she's been busy in her home kitchen creating new dishes which she's capturing with the most perfectly styled photos. If you want your IG or professional food portfolio to look it's best, check out her account and take notes! Bravo, Lisa 👏

Lisa was born and raised in Montreal where she developed her love for cooking. Growing up in a multicultural city, her taste for ethnic foods came from exploring the different neighborhood shops and restaurants including French, Moroccan, Indian, Lebanese, and Jewish cuisine. Before coming to Walnut Hill College, Lisa studied Fine Arts and says that cooking for her is just as creative a process as making art. Instead of being in the studio, she now spends more time in the kitchen experimenting with different recipes and photographing the results. After graduating she hopes to work in food media and to do recipe development and food styling.

Disney Shares Recipe For Their Magical Grilled Cheese

Are you a Disney fan? Of course, you are! Last week, Disney shared their secret recipe for their magically melty grilled cheese sandwich from Toy Story Land. Even though their parks are closed, they wanted to "bring the magic home" with virtual viewings of their parade, as well as recipes of famous dishes like this Grilled Cheese and their very popular, Pineapple Dole Whip.

If you're gaga for Gouda, our friends at the French Cheese Board are hosting an Ultimate Fromage Showdown. The Battle Royale is between 56 French fromages, with the winner being named the "King of Cheeses." Read more on their site and sign up for their BRIE-lliant newsletter! 🧀
